iSHARE Foundation Strengthens Trust and Achieves the ISO/IEC 27001 Certification
Rotterdam, NL. February 21, 2024 – iSHARE Foundation proudly announces the attainment of the ISO/IEC 27001 Certification, a significant milestone in strengthening its governance and maintenance of iSHARE’s Trust Framework for all participants.
The ISO/IEC Certification comes at a crucial time as digital business data sharing intensifies both nationally and internationally. iSHARE, as one of the partners in the Data in Logistics initiative, supported by NGF/EU funding, asserts its critical role within among other data spaces the Basic Data Infrastructure by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. By adhering to international security standards, iSHARE ensures its position within this cohesive framework, enabling seamless and secure data transactions. This joint effort aligns with iSHARE’s dedication to advancing the digital transformation resulting from global data sharing.
Additionally, this certification provides a robust framework for implementing and managing the Information Security Management System (ISMS). Aligned with ISO 27001, iSHARE Foundation is fortifying its ISMS to ensure the effective management of information security, covering people, processes and technology.

The ISO 27001 Certification is comprehensive, involving a systematic approach to establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and continually improve an ISMS. iSHARE Foundation has introduced and updated 34 specific policies, covering areas from access control to incident management, mitigating potential risks associated with its maintenance and governance of Trust Framework for data spaces.

This certification is an important milestone for the Foundation to establish industry standards for data equity and the core value of trust, adding substantial value to our overall framework.”
