The iSHARE Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Stefphen Mans as its new part-time Chief Operating Officer (COO). Stefphen brings a wealth of experience in governance, digital ecosystems, and stakeholder engagement, and will play a key role in strengthening iSHARE Foundation day-to-day operations and supporting the growth of the iSHARE Trust Framework for Data Rights.

Known for his hands-on approach and clear strategic thinking, Stefphen has successfully led transformation projects across complex service organisations, particularly within the telecom sector. He combines deep operational expertise with a strong commitment to collaboration, helping organisations navigate challenges and turn ideas into actionable solutions.

In his new role, Stephen will focus on operational excellence, financial oversight, and ensuring compliance with international standards – key elements to support iSHARE’s mission of enabling secure, trusted data sharing.

“I am excited to be joining the iSHARE Foundation as COO,” Stefphen said.

“My role will be to support the foundation’s structure and compliance, and to contribute to the continued expansion of the iSHARE Trust Framework. I believe strongly in the power of ecosystems and look forward to helping scale iSHARE’s impact.”

At its core, iSHARE helps people and organisations take control of their data. The foundation provides a trusted framework of legal, technical, and operational agreements that make secure, interoperable data exchange possible.

“iSHARE sits at the crossroads of technology, governance and trust,” Stefphen added.

“By working with both public and private partners in sectors like logistics, finance, healthcare and beyond, we’re helping build a scalable and sustainable approach to data sharing.”

In the coming months, Stefphen will work closely with the iSHARE Foundation team as he settles into his new role and contributes to the foundation’s ongoing development.
