It’s your data… but are you bothered? Share your thoughts in the Data Sovereignty survey

The European Union is on a mission to achieve data sovereignty. This is supported by the European Digital Strategy that was released in 2021. It aims to realise the EU’s vision to ensure that by 2030 the EU’s share in the global data economy is in line with the region’s traditional economic weight. The strategy itself is based upon empowering businesses and people with the right technology to gain control off their data.

Should we be equally concerned about data sovereignty as EU policymakers do? 

Although incidents such as data leaks and abuse of data fuel controversy and debate haven’t yet led to a mass exodus of people leaving platforms or social media channels. How many of us do really think about all data we are producing and what happens to it?
